Jubilee celebrations of the railwaymen trade union movement
On 16 May 2008 in Muszyna Złockie, celebrations took place related to 90th
anniversary of establishment of Railwaymen Trade Union and 25th-anniversary of
activity of Federation of PKP Employee Trade Unions. Bożena Borys-Szopa, Chief
Labour Inspector, took part in the celebrations together with Tadeusz Fic,
District Labour Inspector in Kraków.

The celebrations were also attended by members of government, management of PKP
group member companies as well as delegations of railwaymen trade unions from
France, Czech Republic, Hungary and Serbia. The event was hosted by:
Stanisław Stolorz, appointed chairman of ZZP PKP Federation on 14 May and
former chairman Jerzy Kędzierski.
Vice-chairman of ZZP PKP Federation, Włodzimierz Sztern gave a
presentation on history of railwaymen trade unions in Poland. Bożena
Borys-Szopa thanked for the invitation to the event. She congratulated trade
unionists on their achievements from previous years and wished them continuous
enthusiasm about work.
Chief Labour Inspector decorated with an Honorary Medal for Achievements in the
Field of Labour Protection Józef Jureczek, specialist for safety and protection
of work from the Rail Levers Plant in Tarnowskie Góry and Jerzy Kędzierski,
former chairman of ZZP PKP Federation.
