Chief Labour Inspector visits the site of mine tragedy

After the Borynia tragedy, on her visit to Jastrzębie Zdrój, Chief Labour Inspector Bożena Borys–Szopa offered condolences, on behalf of NLI’s management and employees to the mine director and vice-president of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa.

During her visit at the site of mine tragedy, the head of National Labour Inspectorate was acquainted with the present situation in the mine and actions undertaken subsequently to the Wednesday tragedy. She also met the crisis management team.

In headquarters of State Mining Authority in Katowice, Chief Labour Inspector and Authority’s President discussed actions to be undertaken by a committee established in order to analyse reasons and circumstances of the catastrophe. As a result, it was decided that Mr Zbigniew Ryfka, deputy district labour inspector, shall represent NLI in the committee’s works.
