fobjectid 228288

The Committee brings together high-ranking representatives of the labour inspectorates of the European Union Member States and observer countries. Due to the current sanitary situation, the widely discussed topic of this meeting was the activities of national labour inspectorates undertaken during the coronavirus epidemic, the impact of the epidemic on the field of labour and the resulting preliminary conclusions.

An opinion was adopted on the contribution of the Committee of Senior Labour Inspectors to the renewed EU strategy on health and safety at work, indicating the following as priority areas for the SLIC: enforcement, traditional and new risks, new forms of work, expanding knowledge and enhancing communication and cooperation. Discussions during both days of the meeting concerned the activities to be included in the future work plan, and the future structure of the Committee and its working groups was also considered. The development of a new SLIC work plan will be handled by the Working Group Strategy, in which the NLI has a representative.
