Tadeusz Jan Zając was born in Konstancin in 1948. He graduated from the University of Warsaw, Faculty of Law and Administration. From 1966 to 1984 he worked in construction sector, where he held various positions – from a steel fixer to a construction site manager. In Kombinat Budownictwa Miejskiego Warszawa - Śródmieście (City Construction Corporation Warszawa Śródmieście) he was employed as the Head of Human Resources Division. From 1984 to 2004 he worked in the National Labour Inspectorate, where in 1985 he qualified as a labour inspector. For 6 years he worked as a labour inspector at the District Labour Inspectorate in Warsaw, and subsequently as a chief specialist in Legal Department at the Chief Labour Inspectorate. Between 1991-1993 he was a Deputy Chief Labour Inspector responsible for organisational matters. From 1994, over subsequent 3 years he performed duties at the District Labour Inspectorate in Warsaw. In October 1997 he was appointed to the position of a Deputy District Labour Inspector responsible for prevention. From 1999 he was a councilman in Warsaw. Between 1999-2002 he held the position of Chief Labour Inspector. Afterwards, for over a year, he worked at the District Labour Inspectorate in Warsaw. On February 1, 2004 he was appointed Director of Provincial Employment Office in Warsaw. On August 21, 2008, having considered the opinion issued by Labour Protection Council, Speaker of Polish Parliament, Bronisław Komorowski appointed Tadeusz Jan Zając Chief Labour Inspector. |
