Chief Labour Inspector Wiesław Łyszczek
Wiesław Łyszczek completed public administration studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Administration and Management in Przemyśl. In 1995-1998, he was a juror in the Family Division of the District Court in Rzeszów. Mr Łyszczek was a court-appointed administrator for commercial law companies in the National Court Register’s Division in Rzeszów and an expert witness enlisted by the Regional Court in Rzeszów in the field of occupational safety and health, and drivers’ working time. Activist of NSZZ “Solidarność” from 1980. Mr Łyszczek has 37 years of professional experience.
In 1991-1997, he was professionally involved with the transportation sector. In 1997-2001, he worked as a senior inspector in the Legality of Employment Inspection Unit in the Voivodeship Employment Office and then in the Poviat Employment Office in Rzeszów.
In 2002-2007, he was a specialist in the Legality of Employment Unit in the Social Policy Department of the Podkarpackie Voivodship Office in Rzeszów.
As of 1 July 2007, pursuant to art. 107 of the Act of 13 April 2007 on the National Labour Inspectorate (OJ of 2017, item 786 as amended), he was transferred to the District Labour Inspectorate in Rzeszów, which took over the responsibilities related to the legality of employment inspection from the voivodship and poviat employment offices. Wiesław Łyszczek participated in elaborating the draft of the Act. On 19 December 2008, he completed his labour inspector’s training. On 1 September 2015, he was promoted to the position of a senior labour inspector. He coordinated inspections conducted in the District Labour Inspectorate in Rzeszów regarding drivers’ working time, obligatory breaks and rest periods.
From 8 December 2016 he acted as the District Labour Inspector in Rzeszów.
On 10 October 2017 Wiesław Łyszczek was appointed by the Speaker of the Sejm to the position of the Chief Labour Inspector.
