

NLI international conference on current and future challenges for labour inspections
“Labour inspection and the challenges of the future” – This was the title of the international conference organised by the NLI on 27 and 28 October 2022 at the NLI Training Centre in Wrocław. The event brought together representatives of labour inspectorates from EU Member States and of the International Association of Labour Inspection (IALI), the International Social Security Association (ISSA), the International Labour Organisation, the Senior Labour Inspectors’ Committee (SLIC) and the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. The meeting reflected on present and future labour market challenges and provided an opportunity to exchange experiences related to inspection and prevention activities in Europe and worldwide.

Visit of a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs to the Chief Labour Inspectorate
On 5 August 2021 the Deputy Chief Labour Inspector Jarosław Leśniewski met with the representatives of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, the German Embassy in Warsaw and the Federal Police. The delegation was led by Marc Nellen, the Director of the Division for Disability Policy, Social Compensation and Rehabilitation in the German Ministry of Labour.

New leadership of the International Association of Labour Inspectors (IALI) elected
The General Assembly, which met online on 15 July 2021, elected Siong Hin Ho, previously serving as IALI Secretary General, as President of the organisation. The new Executive Committee included labour inspection representatives from Australia, France, Spain, Germany, Norway, Russia, Switzerland and the UK.
