In the NLI’s Training Centre in Wrocław, on 5-6 November 2015, there was an international expert seminar devoted to posting of workers for the provision of services, legality of employment and human trafficking for forced labour.
On 19-23 October 2015, the National Labour Inspectorate’s Training Centre hosted Mr Patrice Nyengue Edimo from the Regional African Centre of Labour Administration (CRADAT). The visit aim was to inform CRADAT’s representative about didactic-training activity of the Centre related to professional development of the NLI’s staff.
On 6-8 October 2015 in Lviv, there was the International Scientific Conference “Industrial safety. Best practices” under the auspices of the Chief Labour Inspector of Ukraine, dr. Roman Chernega. Its organiser was the most popular periodical in Ukraine devoted to work safety and hygiene – the monthly “Prombezpeka”.
At the invitation of the Director General of the Slovak inspectorate, on 1 and 2 October 2015, the National Labour Inspectorate’s delegation, headed by Iwona Hickiewicz, Chief Labour Inspector paid a visit to the National Labour Inspectorate of the Slovak Republic.
On 7-9 September 2015, the French National Institute of Labour, Employment and Professional Training (INTEFP) organised a study visit to Marcy l’Etoile for delegations of inspectors from the Polish, Spanish, German, Irish, Belgian and Romanian labour inspectorates.
At the invitation of Gintaras Čepas, Chief State Labour Inspector of the Republic of Lithuania, on 3 and 4 September 2015, the National Labour Inspectorate’s delegation, headed by Iwona Hickiewicz, Chief Labour Inspector, paid a working visit to Vilnius.
The Hague was the venue of the Utrecht Conference XXVth session, that is meetings held each year alternately in Poland and in the Netherlands, for representatives of the services from both countries, in order to discuss various issues pertaining to bilateral cooperation. The debates took place in working groups composed of experts in specific fields.
On 2 June 2015, the Training Centre of the National Labour Inspectorate and the District Labour Inspectorate in Wrocław received 65 Norwegian labour inspectors from the Southern Region of the Norwegian Labour Inspection Authority.
On 1-3 June 2015, the National Labour Inspectorate’s Training Centre in Wrocław hosted the 19th Meeting of the International Network of Training Institutions in the Field of Labour (fr. Réseau international d’Institutions de Formation dans le domaine du Travail [RIIFT]).
The National Labour Inspectorate was invited by the International Labour Organisation to participate in a workshop on “Organising a system of labour inspection in Ukraine”, on 19-21 May 2015 in Kiev.
On 26 March 2015, the Chief Labour Inspectorate received the representatives of the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions ÖGB invited by the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) to participate in a study visit to Poland.
Representatives of the National Labour Inspectorates paid a working visit at the Danish Working Environment Authority. The topics debated at the meeting included the activity of Polish citizens in the Danish labour market, information exchange and support and protection of workers posted to perform temporary work in Denmark.
On 19 March 2015, the Chief Labour Inspectorate received the representatives of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions UNIO invited by the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) to participate in a study visit to Poland.
The National Labour Inspectorate’s activity in 2014 in the field of human trafficking for the purposes of forced labour, results of inspections of the legality of employment of foreigners in the previous year, cooperation with the Border Guard and international cooperation were the main topics discussed during the meeting with the representatives of the Embassy of the United States of America.
On 27-28 January, an international conference was held in Brussels to close the training project “Acting on situations of posting of workers: Learning by doing”, carried out in 2014, with the participation of the National Labour Inspectorate’s staff.
