Hague, 3 February – About Polish workers in the Netherlands
The problems of Polish temporary agency workers in the Kingdom of the Netherlands were discussed during a seminar held on 3 February 2018 at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in the Hague, with the participation of Mr Wiesław Łyszczek, Chief Labour Inspector.
The event was also attended by various experts - representatives of the Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights, General Police Headquarters and the Embassy of the Netherlands in Warsaw. Active participants of the debate were the representatives of the institutions and organisations involved in helping Poles in the Netherlands.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss the problems concerning the economic migration to the Netherlands in the context of the Polish, Dutch and European law and the rights and obligations of workers in the Netherlands, as well as the issue of aid and cooperation with the local institutions, considering unfair practices used by the local employers against Poles in terms of working conditions and salary.
