Meeting with a representative of the European Commission
On 26 September 2019 in the NLI Training Centre in Wrocław Wiesław Łyszczek, the Chief Labour Inspector, met with Yoline Kuipers, a Policy Officer in the DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, European Commission, representing the SLIC Secretariat.
The meeting focused on discussing the possibility of the National Labour Inspectorate applying to the competition to coordinate a European awareness-raising and enforcement campaign under the auspices of SLIC launched by the European Commission, planned for years 2020-2022. The campaign will address MSDs prevention in the workplace, especially with regard to sedentary jobs, working in prolonged static postures and repetitive activities.
Another topic discussed during the meeting was the participation and task scope of the National Labour Inspectorate representatives in Working Groups which operate within the framework of SLIC.
The meeting with the European Commission representative was attended by: Ewa Dośla, the Director of the Chief Labour Inspector’s Cabinet, Iwona Hadacz, the Deputy Director of the Chief Labour Inspectorate Personnel and Training Department, Robert Jaworski, Chief Specialist at the CLI Legality of Employment, Sławomir Szempliński, Chief Specialist at the CLI International Cooperation Unit.
