On 15 May 2025, during the Thematic Day accompanying the Plenary of the Senior Labour Inspectors Committee (SLIC) in Warsaw, the State Labour Inspection presented the updated SLIC Code of good practices with examples of inspection and non-inspection activities of labour inspectorates.
The Code showcases the most interesting operational methods of labour inspectors, applied in planning and organisation, implementation and monitoring, as well as assessment of effectiveness of the inspection and communication activities. These have been illustrated with specific examples. The Code includes an illustrated paper booklet in English, which was distributed among conference participants. It is also available at slicgoodpractices.eu, together with additional information about inspection and non-inspection work of labour inspectorates in the EU.
The Code is intended to serve as a source of information and inspiration for all EU labour inspectorates, which plan and implement inspection campaigns on a daily basis. It is also intended to support SLIC in the implementation of future European inspection campaigns, and support activities carried out at the national level by individual EU labour inspectorates.
