On the occasion of the centenary of the National Labour Inspectorate, an international conference was held at the NLI Training Centre in Wrocław under the title “Opportunities and challenges for the world of labour 4.0”. The conference gathered representatives of the Senior Labour Inspectors’ Committee, International Association of Labour Inspection, European Agency for Safety and Health at Work, International Labour Organisation, heads and experts representing labour inspectorates from 17 European Union Member States. The host of the meeting was Wiesław Łyszczek, Chief Labour Inspector.
On 5 June 2019 at the University of Deusto in Bilbao a conference was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the foundation of the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work (EU-OSHA). The National Labour Inspectorate was represented by Wiesław Łyszczek, the Chief Labour Inspector. The event was also attended by Iwona Hadacz, the Deputy Director of the Personnel and Training Department at the Chief Labour Inspectorate, and Nina Dulna from the International Cooperation Unit at the CLI.
On 3-4 June 2019, a meeting was held in Košice, Slovakia, gathering heads of the labour inspection authorities of the Visegrad Group Member States. The hosting authority was the National Labour Inspectorate of the Slovak Republic.
On 28 May 2019 at the National Theatre in Warsaw the key event celebrating the 100th anniversary of the creation of the National Labour Inspectorate took place. It was attended by the representatives of the President of the Republic of Poland, the government, the parliament, institutional and social partners of the NLI, the academic community, social and political organisations, the clergy, and labour inspectorate staff.
In Warsaw on 24 May 2019 Bogdan Drzastwa, the Deputy Chief Labour Inspector, met the interdepartmental delegation of the Republic of Moldova headed by Anastasia Oceretnii, the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Health, Labour and Social Protection.
On 23 May 2019, Wiesław Łyszczek, Chief Labour Inspector, visited Vilnius, where he participated in the official celebration of the centenary of the National Labour Inspectorate of the Republic of Lithuania.
From 15 to 17 May 2019 at the University of Cordova in Spain the 39th International Colloquium was held – “Vision Zero – World Prevention Strategy in Agriculture”. Wiesław Łyszczek, the Chief Labour Inspector, took part in the meeting.
Bogdan Drzastwa, the Deputy Chief Inspector, took part in the 76th plenary meeting of the SLIC Committee which took place on 15-16 May 2019 in Bucharest.
On 9 May 2019 the Chief Labour Inspector, Wiesław Łyszczek, met the Ambassador of the Republic of Argentina, Ana Maria Ramirez, accompanied by her co-workers, at the seat of the Chief Labour Inspectorate.
On 6-7 May 2019 in Marcy l’Etoile, France, the seat of the National Institute for Labour, Employment and Vocational Training, Polish delegation headed by Wiesław Łyszczek, the Chief Labour Inspector, attended a conference on the subject of “OSH of Temporary Agency Workers”.
On 5 April 2019 at the seat of the Chief Labour Inspectorate in Warsaw, the Chief Labour Inspector, Wiesław Łyszczek, met the Ambassador of the Albanian Republic, Shpresa Kureta, who was accompanied by her co-workers.
During the International Construction and Architecture Fair in Poznań, from 12 to 15 February 2019, the National Labour Inspectorate together with MTP Poznań Expo and the Agreement for Safety in Construction held a conference: “Limiting the hazards during work at heights”.
Representatives of the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) visited the seat of the Chief Labour Inspectorate on 25 February 2019. Within the framework of the “Fair Mobility” project they support the workers posted to Germany from Central and Eastern European countries like Poland.
On 14 February 2018 a large group of international youth visited the Chief Labour Inspectorate. The meeting was a part of workshops on labour market, prospects and changes in the world of labour.
The Chief Labour Inspector, Wiesław Łyszczek, together with Deputy Chief Labour Inspector, Bogdan Drzastwa, and a few other members of staff had a meeting on 28 January 2019 at the Chief Labour Inspectorate with the representatives of the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines: Maria Alnee A. Gamble - chargé d'affaires and Maria Corina Bunag – labour attaché.
A seminar initiating another, 5th EUROPOSTING project was held on 9 and 10 January 2019 in Brussels. The theme of the new project, in which the National Labour Inspectorate is one of the participants, is boosting transnational cooperation on posting of workers.
