Meeting with the members of the German Trade Unions

Representatives of the German Trade Union Confederation (DGB) visited the seat of the Chief Labour Inspectorate on 25 February 2019. Within the framework of the “Fair Mobility” project they support the workers posted to Germany from Central and Eastern European countries like Poland.


Bogdan Drzastwa – Deputy Chief Labour Inspector and Piotr Ostrowski – vice-chairman of the All-Poland Alliance of Trade Unions (OPZZ) took part in the meeting which was organised at the request of OPZZ. This central trade union organisation is implementing the "Fair working conditions for Posted Workers through Sector-Specific Information and Cooperation" project mainly aimed at, amongst others, Polish workers posted to temporarily provide services in Germany. During the meeting several issues were raised, such as the organisation, powers and tasks of the National Labour Inspectorate, as well as cooperation with German public authorities regarding posting of workers within the framework of providing services, especially in the long-term care sector.


The meeting was attended by: Mirjam Baumert and Justyna Oblacewicz – DGB experts, Adam Rogalewski from OPZZ International Department and Ewa Dośla – Director of the Chief Labour Inspector’s Cabinet, Katarzyna Mietelska – Director of the Prevention and Promotion Department at the Chief Labour Inspectorate and Dariusz Górski – Chief Specialist in the Legality of Employment Department in CLI.
