Study visit of foreign partners

The event was attended by delegations of labour inspectorates from Norway, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia and Luxembourg, as well as representatives of the Bieszczady Division of the Border Guard and the Voivodship Employment Office in Rzeszów.

The participants were greeted by: Barbara Kiełt, District Labour Inspector in Rzeszów and Aneta Gronowicz, Deputy District Labour Inspector.

Foreign labour inspectors had an opportunity to learn about the scope of competence of the National Labour Inspectorate and the structure and tasks of the District Labour Inspectorate in Rzeszów, as presented by Aleksandra Kalka, senior labour inspector from DLI Rzeszów.  

The representatives of the Bieszczady Division of the Border Guard described the Guard’s activities as regards legality of employment of foreigners with emphasis on the crucial role of cooperation between the NLI and the Border Guard during inspection.

Additionally, the participants of the meeting took part in inspection visits carried out in the sectors of agriculture and temporary work under the supervision of Aleksandra Kalka and Piotr Zoła, senior labour inspectors from DLI Rzeszów and Adam Tuleja, principal labour inspector, head of the sub-district office in Krosno.

On the second day of the visit, Marek Popkiewicz, Vice-director of the Legality of Employment Department in the Chief Labour Inspectorate, presented the tasks of the National Labour Inspectorate in the area of the posting of workers and the exchange of information within the Internal Market Information System with special attention paid to the cooperation with the countries represented during the meeting.  

An important part of the meeting was when the participants took the floor to discuss enhancing of administrative cooperation between institutions and availability of information in national registers and data bases.  

The interpretation during the meeting with the foreign guests was provided by Nina Dulna from the International Relations Unit in the Chief Labour Inspectorate.
